I'm sure at one point this place was nice but the upkeep is lacking. It looks like an abandoned tent city, there didn't appear to be anyone really staying there.. Just a bunch of tents left scattered about. I understand this campground caters to pagans and possibly other non-traditional groups as was gleaned by their signage. But I'm not sure that's reason enough for the total lack of care the owners have for it's condition and appearance. The washrooms were filthy and falling apart. The covered activity area (named the Rookery) was scary. We were worried we would get fleas or something if we dared sit on the sofas that are clearly left out year round. So much clutter and mess every which way you looked. It's as if stuff was just left where it fell. The staff were friendly but we had to go back and ask for our wood to be delivered as dusk was approaching and no one dropped it off. There were areas that clearly had been recently used (as evidenced by the garbage, wine and beer bottles/cans left behind. I'm guessing no one cleans up? We're constantly on the hunt for quiet, non-traditional places to camp but sadly this won't be a place we return to. Too messy, too dirty and in awful shape.
