The city of London can be found at the junction of Thames River and was first envisioned in 1793 by Lord Simcoe as the capital of Upper Canada. It was not until 1826 that the area was founded but not as the capital but instead the administrative seat of York, which is now Toronto. London is currently a center of health care and education in the region, with it being home to a number of colleges and hospitals.
